Happy Saturday, everyone!
I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July and the shortened week from the holiday.
As you may know from my previous post and/or my last newsletter, Dustin and I have decided to start a new high protein, low carbohydrate diet and a new exercise routine. We hope to lose some weight, gain muscle, get stronger, feel better, have more energy and all that fun stuff that comes with hard work and being healthy.
This meant there was an opportunity for me to start cooking on the lighter side in order to find tasty, easy recipes that work well with our diet and don’t feel like a chore to eat. Because, well, I’m pretty sure you’ve figured out by now I love to eat.
I plan to add significantly to my healthy recipes on the site in the future, so stay tuned. So, for this Weekend Round-Up, I thought I’d go back through my archives and find some of my favorite healthy meals and dishes.
Here’s a list to get us all started eating more healthy! Who’s with me?
Halibut Picatta with Asparagus
I have also noticed your interest in Video Cooking Tips on my poll. I’m going to start working on a few videos that I will post as additional free content on the site. I’m thinking the videos will be 3-5 minutes long and will cover topics like “How to Chop an Onion,” “How to Pit and Slice an Avocado,” “How to Separate Egg Yolks” and “How to Peel Garlic,” etc. If those sound good to you or if you have other suggestions, I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
