Hey there! Happy Saturday!
As many of you already know, Dustin and I have been working on a new food photo sharing site called dishfolio. We have been very pleased with our growing community and now have over 2000 recipes from hundreds of awesome food bloggers from all around the world.
One aspect of dishfolio for which we have received particularly positive praise is our feedback style for submissions. Though it is a necessary evil to decline submissions at times (due to issues with lighting, focus, composition, etc.), dishfolio provides detailed explanations for why. Dishfolio also offers tips on what to do in order to get your post accepted and published and for how to improve your photography.
Today, I’m happy to announce dishfolio’s new Food Photography Tips page. Now, we have even more information on how to improve your photography and food photography. If you’re interested in learning how to improve the focus of your photos, how to improve the lighting or even how to improve the composition by cropping and scaling your photo, check out our free photography tips.
We also have a more detailed Fundamentals of Photography Course planned, so stay tuned for that. If you happen to have any thoughts or suggestions as to what information would be helpful for you, just let us know!
Or, if you’re just looking for some tasty recipes and amazing photos of food, check out dishfolio today. We’d love to know what you think of the site!
Have an absolutely wonderful weekend!
Enjoy!

It is pretty cool how many people seem to like the feedback at dishfolio. I’m glad we can help people create better photos and recipes.
I agree! It is pretty awesome being part of something so positive when there is so much negativity out there.
Oh wow. I didn’t know that Dishfolio was yours ! Now I think I love it even more. It is far better than Foodgawker and Tastespotting in ALL aspects. The design is cleaner, the access is easier, the feedback, OH the feedback, it makes you feel like an actual person.
Thanks for this new addition in the foodie world.

Thanks, Caylee!
I’m so glad you like the site and you have all that great feedback. We really appreciate your support.
