I thought I’d take a moment to share with you my favorite part of the day.
Every day, weather permitting, Dustin, Jordan — and, now, Savannah — and I go for a walk around our neighborhood after dinner.
Dustin and I typically walk about 3 miles while we push the girls in their stroller.
Not only is this walk a great way to get exercise, fresh air and have some family time, but we also love the beautiful views along the way.
We have noticed it has become a necessary de-escalation time from the day. When we can’t go on our walk, either for weather, time-constraints or health reasons, we get antsy and sad.
This walk has also turned into a time when Dustin and I can talk. Like, actually talk. We discuss finances, the business, how his day was at work, what homes we like along the way, our plans and all that necessary “talk.”
I took all these photos about a week before Savannah was born, so please forgive the lack of photos of the new lil’ one. We have since upgraded to a double jogging stroller and don’t get me started on how long it took us to finally pick that out!
I wanted to share this special time with you.

Beautiful! I feel more relaxed just looking through your photos. Dusk is my favorite time of day, as well. Something about a day well spent and a setting sun just makes everything seem right in the world. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Love it! I try to get out with the kids every day for a walk and it’s one of the best parts of my day. Exercise, fresh air, and the kids get worn out.
