  • 4 apples Fuji and Gala work great, peeled, cored and sliced into even 1/4 inch thick slices
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp kosher or sea salt
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the apples, coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and salt. Toss to evenly coat the apples.
  2. Heat a large sauce pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add coconut oil and allow to melt.
  4. Cook apple mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes or until apples are almost fully tender.
