On this blog, I understand that most of you love to cook and are interested in eating healthier, maybe to lose weight, reduce inflammation, or just because you want to feel better. I try to make my content simple, reasonable, and achievable. I want you to feel empowered to take control of your health through clean eating. I believe everyone is capable of change and that eating healthy doesn't have to feel like a chore.
When creating content, I look beyond the fluff and scare tactics that exist within the health and wellness world. I hold myself accountable to high standards because I know you expect me to and because I value honesty and integrity. I've been in the unfortunate situation of not knowing what or who to trust when trying to lose weight, and I understand how easy it can be to get overwhelmed by all the noise.
Because of this, I take the research I share very seriously and do my best to provide you with relevant, science-driven findings to support any claims I make. To ensure relevant, high-quality, and trusted information, I follow a strict sourcing protocol and rely on the following for my credible sources:
- peer-reviewed studies
- academic research institutions
- medical journals and associations
I only use credible sources to ensure my content and assertions are accurate and have scientific integrity. Having a Master's Degree in Psychology and certifications in personal training and nutrition, I've combined my love for science with my passion for healthy living, and I hope you appreciate the mix of personal experience and scientific truth.

Backed By Research
During my undergraduate and graduate studies, I relied heavily on conducting, assisting in, and researching neuropsychology, perception, behavioral psychology, and social psychology studies. During this time, I developed a strong interest in the scientific method and understanding what science truly shows rather than following hypotheses and assumptions. This all culminated in my graduate thesis, where I conducted my own research and published the findings.

Trustworthy Recipes
Along my health journey, I learned the value of ditching refined sugars and harmful additives and adding in natural sweeteners and low-carb, high-protein foods. I learned you don't have to give up the foods you love, even if you're looking to lose weight.
The recipes on this blog match this belief, each being carefully planned, tested, enjoyed, and simply photographed. Rest assured the recipes are time-tested, clean-eating, and family approved. If I don't like a recipe, it doesn't make the cut.
