Welcome, Baby Savannah!

Dustin, Jordan and I are very happy to announce the arrival of our new little bundle of joy, Savannah Rose Baier!

Welcome, Baby Savannah!

Baby Savannah was born on April 18, 2011 at 2:03 a.m., weighing 6 pounds, 6 ounces and 18 inches long.

Welcome, Baby Savannah!

We are now home from the hospital and are all getting to know one another.  We really appreciate your support and offers of encouragement and congratulations for baby Savannah’s arrival.

Welcome, Baby Savannah!

As for Jordan, she has been absolutely thrilled to have little “Savanns” in the house.  We can already tell she will be an awesome big sister.  She has a strong sense of caring and protectiveness of baby Savannah and can’t stop kissing her and calling her “baby.”  Jordan also shows such concern when Savannah is crying and tells everyone to “Shhh” when she is sleeping.  So.  Cute.

Welcome, Baby Savannah!

To prepare Jordan for Savannah’s arrival, we bought her a baby doll and she has really taken to it.  She swaddles it, changes its diaper and puts her to bed.

Welcome, Baby Savannah!

I, for one, am super excited to be able to get back into shape and, frankly, to be able to bend over again.  Hallelujah!  The things you take for granted, eh?

Welcome, Baby Savannah!

Life has already started getting back to (a new kind of) normal around our home and we look forward to lots of new experiences.  We are getting to know and love Savannah’s personality a little more each day.  So far, she appears to be pretty independent (for a newborn, of course!) a little feisty and definitely enjoys her sleep.

Welcome, Baby Savannah!

  1. I can’t believe that I haven’t commented on Savannah’s post yet. Hi Savannah! Love you!

  2. Congratulations on your precious baby girl. Your older daughter looks so sweet with her hands curled under her chin while she is sleeping. Now please tell me you were not able to shop, prep and cook egg rolls a few days after giving birth. < :

    1. Thank you, Kathy! Haha — no, no. The egg rolls were made before having the baby 🙂 I worked hard to store several posts up prior to going into labor so I could take about 1 week off once baby Savannah arrived 🙂

  3. Oh, she is so beautiful! Enjoy every single moment! This is such a special time for you and your family. Happy Easter!

  8. Ahh – such a peanut! Both of mine were 6 pounders and 18 inches long – you don’t realize how tiny they are until they lay next to a 9 lb newborn- yowza! Congratulations on such a job well done! So sweet!
